{"id":24,"date":"2025-02-19T12:13:45","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T12:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lajme-javore.com\/?p=24"},"modified":"2025-02-19T13:40:42","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T13:40:42","slug":"passenger-posts-video-inside-delta-plane-moments-after-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lajme-javore.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/19\/passenger-posts-video-inside-delta-plane-moments-after-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Passenger posts video inside Delta plane moments after crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A passenger onboard the Delta Air Lines flight that crashed and turned upside down while attempting to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport yesterday has posted video footage of the inside of the wreckage.<\/p>\n<p>At roughly 3:30pm Eastern Time on February 17, Delta Air Lines flight 4819 flipped upside down during an attempted landing at Pearson after taking off from Minneapolis, Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>Despite there being 80 people onboard the plane \u2013 76 passengers, four crew \u2013 miraculously there were no fatalities, though at least 18 were transported to hospital with injuries<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Deborah Flint, CEO of Toronto Pearson International Airport, Canada, released a statement yesterday evening that read: \u201cWe are very grateful there was no loss of life and relatively minor injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Delta News Hub shared the following statement on Twitter: \u201cInitial reports were that there are no fatalities. Several customers with injuries were transported to area hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur primary focus is taking care of those impacted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As investigators begin working out just how the crash occurred, CNN released audio from air traffic control between the controller and the pilot of another nearby flight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLifeFlight 1, Medevac, just so you are aware, there are people outside walking around the aircraft there,\u201d the controller said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, we\u2019ve got it,\u201d the Medevac pilot replied. \u201cThe aircraft is upside down and burning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Passengers on the flight have since taken to social media, with one individual sharing footage after evacuating the plane from inside the jet directly after it had flipped over.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Delta Flight 4819 passenger Ashley Zook took a video following the plain crash in Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s clearly in shock and beside herself. <\/p>\n<p>Such a thing to experience.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qjqAfsQ8e6\">pic.twitter.com\/qjqAfsQ8e6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Paul A. I\u2019m upside down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She can then be heard saying: \u201cWhat the f**k.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Independent, medical transport company Ornge reported that three people suffered critical injuries: a man in his 60s, a woman in her 40s and a child. Their identities have yet to be released.<\/p>\n<p>The incident comes after last month\u2019s devastating crash near Reagan National Airport, Washington, which claimed the lives of 67 people.
